The context
A steel-framed storage warehouse behaves like a solar collector: the cladding heats up, air builds under the roof and the temperature climbs well above the outdoor value. Without organised air renewal the building becomes hard to occupy in summer and stored goods suffer. The work forms part of the Sidi Rahal desalination plant project in Casablanca, developed by Acciona.
What we did

- Work at height using a mobile elevating platform
- Optimisation of air renewal across the industrial buildings
- Improved air circulation and thermal comfort
The outcome
The building now has an organised air sweep: inlets low down, extraction high up where hot air collects. Storage areas and technical buildings are ventilated continuously, without depending on doors being open.
