Intervention at the Port of Jorf Lasfar
FCE recently performed an emergency intervention on a centralized marine air conditioning system operating with R407C.
The work included circuit diagnosis, refrigerant recovery, nitrogen purge, replacement of four filter cartridges and the filter body gasket, expansion valve and solenoid valve inspection, vacuum pulling, recharging and functional testing.
The intervention was completed in three days despite port access constraints and high onboard temperatures. Refrigerant circulation was restored and a significant improvement in cooling performance was observed. The vessel's technical crew was also trained in system monitoring and final adjustment.
